This is Pepper’s way of saying “I need attention.”
It all started when we (understandably) couldn’t resist giving her belly rubs whenever she laid on her back. And then somewhere down the road, this clever little gal figured out that she’d instantly get attention if she flopped on her back. Now if you ignore her after a few seconds of her laying belly-up, she very quickly rolls back over, clearly pissed that we didn’t acquiesce to her request. She’s high-maintenance.
My mom sent me this photo earlier and I feel like it’s pretty indicative of each corg’s personality. Pepper’s on guard, ready to spring into action at any moment. Sammy’s on guard, ready to bark at any moment but would prefer to remain safely behind the screen door. And Scooter’s completely oblivious to everything.
Pepper is a 2-year-old corgi living in Phoenix. She enjoys tearing apart stuffed animals, storing her toys and bones under the couch, and eating her poop. You'll also see her corgi BFFs, Scooter and Sammy, make many guest appearances.
